CHRISTOPH ÜBERHUBER

Christoph Überhuber lived in Vienna from 1946 to 2016. Since 1996 he has worked as a professor at the Technical University of Vienna and at the University of Applied Arts in artistic research. He attended courses with Xenia Hausner, Katharina Sieverding, Elfie Semotan and Arnulf Rainer and then worked on digital visual art in the fields of photography, graphics and mixed media.

He was a full member of the Künstlerhaus Wien, published 16 specialist books and over 100 articles in specialist journals. He was the winner of the Gordon Bell Prize in 2006 and the Heinz Zemanek Prize in 1994.

Exhibitions: in Austrian and German galleries and art houses, e.g. the Künstlerhaus in Salzburg, the Galerie Peithner-Lichtenfels in Vienna.
