Julia Faber is a visual artist, with focus on realistic painting, based in Vienna. From 2006 to 2012 she studied painting with Johanna Kandl at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Before that, from 1998 to 2003, she completed an apprenticeship in photography at the Höhere Graphische Bundes Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt and also worked in this area for several years.

During her painting studies with Johanna Kandl, she spent a year abroad in Utrecht from 2009-2010, where she took part in the artist-in-residence program Das Spectrum in 2015.

Solo exhibition 2015 in the Lisabird Contemporary gallery in Vienna. She lives and works in Vienna.
